Childcare

The child care takes place in the same building as the conference, at the ground floor. There is a dedicated room with equipment for children (child-friendly toilets, changing table, toys) – see here.

The care-takers are students of Charles University (Faculty of Arts) who have long-term contract for the care-taking job at the centre – they do it regularly during the semester time for children of students and employees of the Faculty of Arts.

The room has capacity for five children at a time. The age is not restricted but the acceptance of a particular child is up to the care-taker and her arrangement with the parent.

The care-taker should be present during the whole-day programme of the conference (from 8:45 am to 18 pm) but the room is not suitable for a whole-day stay of children. The recomended maximum duration of one stay is about two hours after which a pause should be done. It might be suitable for the children to stay there for two hours in the morning and another two hours in the afternoon. The recomended maximum per day is four hours.
